April, 2011

April 25: Krishan Kumar was accepted into the California Youth Symphony Senior (top) Orchestra! Congratulations, Krishan!

Cody Molho was just accepted (4/21/11) into the Flute 1 section of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Bravo Cody!

In addition to MIT, Berkeley, and UCLA, JENNIFER CHEN got into Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, and Johns Hopkins! She is really excited and will likely audition for the Harvard orchestra!
Jennifer, this is a first for sure. Many BRAVOS go to you!

Kristen Fang, whose video appears on Maria's home page, just WON the prestigious position as the youngest (14) member of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra flute section!!! Big Bravos go to Kristen Fang!!!

In addition, Kristen won FIRST PRIZE at the 19th Annual US OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION
and was a winner at Junior Bach in Berkeley this year! All in Spring 2011. WHEW!

March 2011 - Three pupils: Cody Molho (Superior), Krishan Kumar (Command Performance), and Helen Jun (Command Performance) were winners of CMEA. TUTTI BRAVI!

Kelsey Seymour has graduated from Cambridge University and is continuing her flute studies at the prestigious Royal College of Music in London. She is studying with Sue Milan. We are so proud of you, Kelsey!

Miranda Christ was accepted into the Berkeley Youth Orchestra. Bravo, Miranda!

Jennifer Chen was selected for CBDA All State Honor Band yet again! Bravos go to Jennifer!
